Ian is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and has had extensive exposure to the implementation of financial software applications, payment processes and internal controls in the life cycle of the payment process. Ian completed his degree while working at Ernst & Young in their Corporate Audit division and Entrepreneurial Services division. During his 7 year tenure with E&Y he specialised in IT industry clients, which included a secondment to the Ernst & Young USA (Atlanta Office).
Ian was responsible for all aspects of the audit process ensuring clients systems and internal controls where sufficiently developed to protect the company’s stakeholders. His clients included Packard Bell, SAS Institute Australia, Transtel Cellular Limited to mention a few.
Thereafter Ian held Chief Finance Officer roles in both an international software development company providing ERP and CRM solutions (Masterpack) and also a multinational retailer (Franklins) with turnover in excess of $1bn and over 5,000 employees. Ian has also held a CFO role in the property and construction industry (JPG Property).
Mike has over 30 years of software industry experience, having worked in a number of management and executive roles within technology companies such as SystemBuilder, Unidata, Ardent Software and Informix.
In 2000, Mike co-founded eWise System and continued to serve as its CTO and director for the next 11 years. Mike has had numerous local and international patents granted in the financial technology space. He is one of the founders and board members of MOGOplus Holdings. Mike, who has a Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours) degree from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, is highly skilled in management, software architecture and design, and software development.
Mark has over 30 years of experience in the IT industry and has worked on a diverse array of solutions, from real time engineering automation software to innovative mobile financial applications.
For the past decade his focus has been on system architecture, security analysis and project management specialising in financial systems. Mark was one of the founders and directors of eWise and was instrumental in implementing the strategy, architecture, security design and patenting of eWise aggregation and payment software solutions as well as managing major complex implementations for clients such as Westpac.
He has experience in Financial Technology start-ups most recently being involved in the founding of MOGOplus Holdings where he was part of the team that developed a groundbreaking eVerification application that allowed consumers to verify their identity and financial standing online without requiring users to divulge sensitive information to anyone other than their own bank.
Mark has had numerous local and international patents granted in the financial technology space and is a director of eTeam Software and worked in management roles in technology companies such as SystemBuilder, Unidata, Ardent Software and Informix.
Mark has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa and a Bachelor of Accounting science degree from the University of South Africa (UNISA).
Ed's IT career spans 35 years and four continents, from start-ups to regional carriers such as SingTel Optus and large multinationals such as IBM, VeriSign and Dimension Data. After many senior roles including managing software development, presales, consulting, managed services and marketing teams, Ed's focus since 2000 has been on sales management and business development strategy and execution across Asia Pacific. Ed also holds a BS Information & Computer Science (Hons).
Kim has 20 years experience in the IT industry working for various SaaS providers across multiple verticals including finance, hospitality and logistics. She joins us most recently from MacromatiX where she was the Customer Success Manager for large multi-national quick service restaurants. A few of the projects that were successfully managed by Kim during her time at MacromatiX were software implementations for McDonaldís China, Hong Kong and Singapore. Kim is dedicated to her customers and strives to ensure success from the initial stages of implementation through to the ongoing support and care of our customers.
Mai, a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (Honours) in 2010, has almost 8 years of both technical and functional expertise in the IT industry. She specialises in application implementation / deployment, functional & technical training and application support. She has previously worked for Accenture where she spearheaded numerous deployment, application upgrade, ad-hoc and application support projects for global clients around Australia, US and SEA to name a few. Mai is an expert of multiple Wintel applications and has had experience in database management, application customisation, risk assessment and backup strategy implementation. Her focus for the past 5 years is on establishing processes, support and implementation strategies that are now baseline of operations on teams she has led.
She now joins EFTsure as an application support lead managing operational support and implementation activities.
Until recently, David was Managing Director of MacromatiX, a global leader in cloud-based retail and hospitality management solutions designed to increase productivity and operational excellence, in inventory and supply chain management. MacromatiX was successfully sold in 2012 to TPG, a leading global private investment firm with $66billion of capital under management. TPG has since created RedBook Connect, which includes the MacromatiX solution, and services 15 of the world’s 20 largest Restaurant and Hospitality Brands.
Russel is currently the CEO and Managing Director of Pengana Capital Group, a publicly listed funds management group. He Co-founded Pengana in 2003 and has been the companyís CEO since inception. Prior to founding Pengana, Russel worked for Goldman Sachs in New York, in the Financial Institutions Group, providing investment Banking services to a range of financial services companies. Before moving to New York, he was responsible for leading Goldman Sachsí Australian Financial Institutions Group. Russel was previously Chairman of Centric Wealth Group and a Principal of Turnbull Pillemer Capital. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and has a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from the University of New South Wales.
David is the Managing Director and co-founder of RITEQ, a software development company focused on building cloud based Workforce Management solutions. Since 2001, David has been instrumental in the product vision for RITEQ as well as the growth of the business both locally in Australia and Internationally.
Two years after graduating as an Electronic Engineer in his native South Africa, David joined Samsung Electronics, South Africa as their first employee and was instrumental in appointing local distributors and growing the revenue to $50M+ within 4 years.
In 1990, David founded Daemar Pty Ltd, an electronics manufacturing business in Johannesburg that he grew to 50+ employees, before selling prior to immigrating to Australia in 1996. Daemar manufactured and supplied surge and power protection devices to the South African military as well as multinational organisations such as Samsung, Panasonic and Sharp.
Prior to starting RITEQ in 2001, David founded DigiPOS Store Solutions in 1998 in a partnership with South African listed MB Technologies. MB Technologies acquired Davidís stake in DigiPOS in early 2001.
